Dark Shadows

Now Dark Shadows is a GREAT film it's classic Tim Burton. Before I saw the trailer for this film I had been thinking there had been needing to be a Tim Burton film and I was really looking forward to seeing this film and I wasn't disappointed. This film is set in 1776 and is about Barnabas Collins whose parents and lover was killed and he was turned into a vampire by a witch whose heart he broke and then the witch (Angelique Bouchard) convinced the locals that Barnabas was a vampire and they sealed him in a coffin then in 1972 he was accidently released by some builders he then feeds on and kills them he then returns to his family's manor and sees that his relatives are in financial trouble so he helps them rebuild the family business but the witch who sealed Barnabas away now called Angel owns a rival business and is determined to have Barnabas join her. Here is the trailer.

Black Butler Season 2

Now this is the great sequel Black Butler II (or Kuroshitsuji II) it is set 1 year and 3 months after the end of the first season and has 2 new main characters Alois Trancy the master of the Trancy state and his demon butler Claude Faustus. Ciel was presumed dead at the end of the first series, but Sebastian had in fact never succeeded in taking Ciel's soul to begin with. Nonetheless Ciel has lost his memories including those about Madam Red's death, Grell, Soma and Agni, and Angela. With Ciel beileving he has yet to have his revenge Sebastian makes Ciel beileve it is Alois Trancy is the one that Ciel has to take his revenge upon. Now Black Butler II has a lot more violence and sadness but it's still the funniest anime I've ever seen the OVA episodes are the funniest. Here are the opening and closing songs.

Here are a few Black Butler tributes I did.

Angel Beats!

Angel Beats! is a great anime about a high school acting as a limbo, where students learn to give up any lingering attachments they still have from life before continuing to an afterlife or  reincarnation. Those in the afterlife school can still feel pain as they did when they were alive, as well as dying again, only to awaken later with no injuries. The story follows the main protagonist Otonashi, a boy who lost his memories of his life after dying. He meets Yuri, a girl who invites him to join the Afterlife Battlefront an organization she founded and leads which fights against God for the cruel fates the SSS members experienced in life. In the SSS, there is a four-girl band named Girls Dead Monster that acts as a diversion during missions, and an organization called the Guild that mass produces weapons out of dirt and supplies them to the SSS. Their only enemy is Angel, a girl with supernatural powers who fights against the SSS. Angel creates her powers with the aid of a computer program called Angel Player. The rest of the afterlife school is populated by a large number of "normal" students and teachers Yuri deems "non-player characters" (NPCs) as they are not human, but look and act the part. Here is the first episode.

Dance in the Vampire Bund

Dance in the Vampire Bund is a great anime about the ruler of all the vampires Mina Tepeş creating a place off the coast of Japan where all vampires can live peacefully, "The Bund". Unfortunately there are people and vampires who don't agree with Mina Tepeş and want to see her dead especially the vampire terrorist group known as Telomere but luckily Mina Tepeş is potected by her vampire servants and loyal werewolves. One particular werewolf Akira Kaburagi Regendorf loves Mina and she is in love with him but unfortunately a year ago he lost all his memories and didn't even know he was a werewolf (until episode 2) it was then revealed he lost his memory due to failing a mission and was allowed to live because of his importance to Mina. Here is the first episode.

Here is a tribute to one of my favorite characters.

Black Butler Season 1

Now Black Butler (or Kuroshitsuji) is a GREAT anime (I've only watched season 1 so far because season 2 isn't dubbed yet but it's being dubbed April 3rd this year along with the rest of the OVA's) about Ciel Phantomhive a 12 year old boy and head of the noble family Phantomhive on his 10th birthday his mother and father were killed and he was kidnapped and then sold and his new owners brand him, giving him the mark of a "noble beast". When he is about to be sacrificed and he is stabbed Ciel summons a demon who asks Ciel if wants to make a contract with him (so he can take revenge on the people who did this to him) and Ciel agrees. 2 years later Sebastian (the demon Ciel summoned and works as Ciel's butler) awakes Ciel for the day and informs him of the day's plans. Now a day in Phantomhive Manor is never peaceful because the garden gets destroyed the plates broken and the food burnt (or the Kitchen destroyed) by Finny (the gardener) Mey-Rin (the maid) and Bardroy (the chef) Sebastian calls them idiots and always has to fix the mess they made. Even though Black Butler has it's fair share of sadness and violence I can honestly say it's the funniest anime I've ever seen. Here are a couple of funny bits

Here are the 2 opening songs.

Here are the 2 ending songs.

You see I am simply one hell of a butler.

Terry Pratchett's Hogfather

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought this would be a great film to do a review of for Christmas. Now this is a great film about how the Auditors want to get rid of the Hogfather because he does not fit into their view of the universe. They meet with Lord Downey, head of the Assassin's Guild, and commission the services of Mr. Tea Time, whose particular brand of insane genius makes him an ideal candidate for the assassination of the Hogfather and other anthropomorphic personifications. Meanwhile with the Hogfather missing Death decides to take over for the Hogfather to make people continue to believe in him. Here is the first part of the film.
